About the Author:
James, the Buchanan’s only child, was injured during birth, leaving him developmentally delayed and mildly mentally handicapped. His parents researched every avenue to help their child develop and grow. Attending courses taught by Barbara Meister Vitale, they found the direction and support needed to help their son.
As educators, the two of them designed a program to help others learn more easily. Tips, Tricks, Techniques is the culmination of that curriculum.
Marlene still teaches the Tips, Tricks, Techniques course in Senior Centers, special needs programs, and other settings. She is an award-winning author. Her accomplishments include Georgia Independent Author of the Year (2020, 2021) and Ladies of All Nations International (LAONI) Global Woman of Courage (2022) and The Superhero: We are the Change (2022).
