Laurie tells Chase there’s no need to be jealous when he sees her around town with the owner of the new bookstore. But she can’t take her own advice when she finds out about Chase’s secret meetings with a strange woman.
Meanwhile, you’ll never guess what turns up at the Treasure Chest thrift shop this time. Worth something? Or worthless? Laurie is determined to find out. She still enjoys working at the shop, but a couple of the volunteers are making things difficult. No one knows if Alice will even show up for work, and Laurie wishes Evelyn wouldn’t show up so often. Tensions are almost at the boiling point, which means it could get uncomfortable at St. Mark’s.
